smells

smells

Postby Casley1 on Mon Dec 15, 2008 8:51 am

Hi Meg had a Mi key button inserted 2 weeks ago - since then the smell that eminates from it is very powerful. It is definately not infected there is no sign of redness of swelling - she is tollerating feeds fine and her stoma actually has improved with less granulation since the button was put in. Even after showering and vigerous washing with soap and water the smell persists.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Kate & Meg,
Great to see all went well with the mic-key for meg. I hope this led to a great holiday season and good start to the New Year.
I have not had anyone mentioning the powerful odour you mention before but hopefully we will get some responses here.
I will also ask at the Melbourne based parent support group meeting.
Let us know if you have been able to find out what is causing it or any solutions you have found.
